Dr. Hungerford replaced my left knee seven years ago and has watched my right knee deteriorate since then. I was impressed by the improvements made in this period of time: the placement of the anesthesia, no blood given ahead, the group session and lunch ahead, the group therapy after surgery, being able to shower as soon as I got home. I feel that Dr. H did a great surgery that helped control the pain. I was sent to physical therapy as soon as I got home, no one came to my house. All in all this was a much better experience than before.

Hi my name is Dorothy; I had a total knee replacement on December 13, 2010 at Mercy Hospital. My doctor's name was Dr. Hungerford. He is the greatest. Dr. Hungerford did my surgery- you may want to consider total replacement. Everyone at Mercy is the BOMB. Rehab is great, you must work to walk. Erica, his secretary was sweet and willing to help at all times. I am so happy and bless to be apart of MERCY. Take a chance and have your knee replaced at Mercy. Have Mercy: The Staff is # 1.

Sure a little bit of heaven fell from out the sky one day specifically- February 8, 2011 when I met Dr. Marc W. Hungerford and his office team. It was then I began my "Joint Journey" at Mercy Hospital- one I will never forget and will always cherish. As the days moved toward the operation date, this unbelievable, loving and caring team grew as did my mental healing process. March 2nd, the operation date, proved to be more successful than I believed possible. "Good news", Dr. Hungerford whispered "All your pain was coming from the hip only-not the knees or back!!!" To remind me of this good news and the love + care surrounding me, Dr. Hungerford had a bad vase filled with two exquisite roses, some greens and baby breaths, with a Get Well Soon Card attached. That was a first! Never in my 72 ½ years has a doctor sent me flowers and a Get Well Card!! All that was left was for me to do my part. It has been a speedy and successful journey. So many to thank- the PT's, OT's, the young man who cleaned my room, Sister Elizabeth Ann, Mary and Theresa (from the kitchen) who retires in April. Leading all of these is Dr. Marc Hungerford, his office staff, his pre-op and post op teams. I have not stopped singing your praises and continue to do so. I think I have convinced many to come to Mercy if, in the future they need a joint, curing and healing. Love and prayers for all of you, your families and patients.

It's been 2 years now and even though my tennis game is not better than it was 10 years ago, I'm playing regularly and enjoying it. Could not have done this without the successful surgery performed by Dr. H.
